Serving Suggestions

Cauliflower Mash :

Create a creamy and satisfying base for your grilled ribs by serving them with a side of cauliflower mash.

Steam or boil cauliflower florets until tender, then mash them with a touch of butter and season with salt and pepper.

The velvety cauliflower mash pairs perfectly with the flavorful ribs and adds a low-carb twist to the classic meat-and-potatoes combo.

Grilled Veggie Medley:

Enhance your meal by adding a colorful assortment of grilled vegetables alongside the ribs and coleslaw.

Choose low-carb options such as zucchini, bell peppers, and asparagus. Drizzle them with a little oil, season with salt and pepper, and grill them until tender.

The grilled veggies provide a delightful contrast to the meat and coleslaw, adding depth and variety to your plate.

Tangy Pickles:

Add a tangy and crunchy element to your meal by serving the grilled ribs with a side of pickles.

Whether it’s classic dill pickles, pickled cucumbers, or pickled radishes, the acidity and vibrant flavors of the pickles cut through the richness of the meat and coleslaw, providing a burst of refreshment.

Notes

Expert Note: The critical ingredients for restriction here are the Vegetable Oil and standard Mayonnaise. These are ubiquitous in many kitchens but are immediate exclusions for Paleo and Whole30 diets. To make this recipe suitable for those diets, you would simply need to use an approved oil (like avocado oil) for grilling and either make your own mayonnaise with that oil or find a compliant brand.
The coleslaw itself is a well-designed keto side, using low-carb vegetables and a high-fat dressing to maintain ketosis.

Alternative variations

Spicy Kick:
If you like a bit of heat, add some chili powder, cayenne pepper, or a dash of hot sauce to the seasoning rub for the ribs. This will give your dish a spicy twist that will tantalize your taste buds and add an extra dimension of flavor..
Citrus Zing:
Infuse a burst of citrus into your grilled ribs by adding a squeeze of lemon or lime juice to the seasoning rub. The acidity and freshness of the citrus will complement the richness of the meat and add a zesty note that brings the flavors to life.
Herb Infusion:
Experiment with different herbs to elevate the flavor profile of your grilled ribs. Try adding dried oregano, thyme, or rosemary to the seasoning rub. The aromatic herbs will infuse the meat with delightful fragrances and create a tantalizing taste experience.
